Did You Know There’s A Song Titled “Saab 900” ?

It was recorded and released in 2017 by an artist group called ‘Honey.’

Before listening to this song, we were unfamiliar with Honey. According to their Spotify description, they’re “four potassium-rich friends who like to hang out and play music from Wellington, NZ.”

We get the impression that most folks will either love or hate the song, but we’re certainly fans ourselves. We could be biased since it’s a song about a Saab, but we’re diggin’ the ’80s-like groove it’s got goin’ on. It’s the kind of song that’s perfect during those long highway journeys. You know, the ones that make you dance in your seat (or are we just weird?)

Even the music video has an interesting peculiarity to it, and it reminds us a lot of the abstract Saab 96 art design we shared yesterday. We’ve embedded the video above for your enjoyment.

If you’d like to simply just listen instead of watch, here’s a link to the song on Spotify. It’s also available on Apple Music and iTunes, as well as Amazon.

We’ve noticed that Saab is referenced in quite a few works, ranging from TV shows like The Office to literary works such as The Indian Lawyer by James Welch and Timeline by Michael Crichton. With that in mind, we’re going to highlight as many of these references as we can, and you’ll be able to find them under our recently added category: Pop Culture.

As always, stay tuned!
